Why AI-drafted notes always wait for approval

AI-assisted note drafting works like a black box in most clinical software: the model produces something, the system files it. In psisula that step is deliberately kept apart.

Generation and acceptance are separate

When a session summary or scale interpretation is requested, the draft is never automatically attached to the client record. The therapist reads it, edits if needed, and only an explicit “accept” action files it. A draft that is never accepted never appears in the record at all.

Every accepted piece carries its own source

Each accepted summary or interpretation keeps a record of which session notes or scale result it was generated from, and when it was accepted — an audit trail, not decoration. That means the question “where did this text come from” always has an answer the therapist can point to.

What this means in practice

• Even when you didn’t type it, every sentence that lands in the record has passed through your review.
• The difference between a draft and the final text stays visible, not silently merged.
• Nothing generated for a client is a direct copy of AI output sent automatically — interpretations are for the therapist’s review, not auto-delivered to the client.

This is one of our product principles: AI drafting speeds things up, but clinical responsibility always stays with the therapist.
